Giselle Quezada
Hello, my name is Giselle Quezada, and I am a junior at Thousand Oaks High School. At 16 years of age, I am a girl with a lot of energy and a desire to learn and to teach. I work extremely hard in school and am currently taking three AP classes, which include English, Chemistry, and U.S. History, with the rest being Honors. On the side, I hold an editor's position in the school's newspaper; I work at the Westminster Free Clinic during certain Wednesdays, and I am a member of many clubs at school, and just recently got re-involved with tutoring! I am very detailed, fun, and considerate of others' needs. I always put my best foot forward to guarantee success for all, and I understand that school can be pretty hectic at times, but that is why I am here to help! If Spanish, Algebra I or Algebra II are your problems, I am your girl.

My main extra curricular is Volleyball, and I am on the Varsity team at school! Christina Hempill(Currently Booked)
Hi, my name is Christina Hempill. I am 16 years old and am currently a Junior at Thousand Oaks High School. I have been helping people throughout my life and that is what I enjoy doing. During 8th grade, I was in cross age tutoring which was an elective provided for students to spend an hour each morning at any elementary school to help out the teachers and students. I enjoyed this incredibly much; interacting with all of the first graders that i cross aged for became the highlight of my day. In addition to this, I currently tutor kids from the Ethos program, which is an introduction to business class, every Thursday during lunch for community service hours. These community service hours contribute to a club I am in, CSF, which is the California Scholarship Foundation for students with a 3.5 gpa or higher. I have had much experience in helping students because I have been helping my younger sister throughout her academic career. Out side of school, I play tennis at Sunset Hills Tennis club, and am on varsity on the Thousand Oaks High School Team. I love hanging out with my friends, family, and sister. I also love to dance and listen to music. I hope you choose me as your tutor =].

Alex Chen
Hey, I’m Alex Chen, currently a sophomore at
Thousand Oaks High School. I’m largely academic, but I also take
pleasure in the violin, orchestra, cross-country, and track; I’m also
active in such clubs as CSF, Students for Solar Schools, Junior
Statesmen of America, and Knowledge Bowl. I’m a member of the Johns
Hopkins University’s Search for Exceptional Talent and have attended
JHU’s CTY summer program for several years.
I’m a straight-A student and have been so for
my academic career, to which this year has added English 10H, Math
Analysis H, Chemistry H, Spanish 3, and European History AP. I am also
experienced in biology, having passed the Biology AP test last year
with a score of 5. My GPA is a solid 4.0.
I have had experience privately tutoring
personal friends as well as tutoring and counseling others through the
Peer Academic Counseling program at Redwood Middle School. I attempt to
impart broader concepts to students so as to further understanding
rather than merely promote memorization. I am not, however, dry, and
hope to engage with more force than a textbook. Hope to talk with you
soon!
