Elizabeth Riedell

(Currently Booked)

Hey everyone! I’m Elizabeth Riedell, a senior at Thousand Oaks High School. Rebecca Lamp and I are the new operating team of T.O. Student Tutoring. This is my third year as a tutor and I’m very dedicated to my job. I tutor in almost every type of math, including calculus. I also tutor in chemistry and English for younger kids. I have previous experience as a camp counselor, a cross age tutor at Aspen Elementary School, a volunteer at the Thousand Oaks Teen Center, and soon a volunteer tutor at Park Oaks Elementary. I truly enjoy working with students of all ages and would be happy to help any child struggling with school. My current schedule consists of: Economics/Government CP, Statistics AP, Spanish 4 AP, Physics AP, and English 12AP. I got to school everyday from 7:00am to 12:08pm. After school I am available to tutor at any time for any portion of time. I have a full workload at school, but I am completely capable of prioritizing and making time for any future students in need of tutoring. I hope to make a world of difference to any future clients and look forward to meeting you all! -Elizabeth

Noah Fields
(Currently Booked)

Hi, I’m Noah Fields and I’m a junior at Thousand Oaks High School. This year I am taking Calculus AP, US History AP, Chemistry AP, English 11AP, Philosophy, Dance, and Latin 1. I have never gotten below an A in any of my classes and I am an AP Scholar with Honors. Last year I got 5’s on the European History, Art History, and Music Theory exams. Outside of class, I play two musical instruments: piano and violin. I have won a number of competitions on piano and I am in the Conejo Valley Youth Orchestra program on violin.

I have a strong humanities background. In previous summers, I have taken courses in Existentialism, Philosophy of Religion, and Psychology at Brown University and Stanford Universities. Consequently, my tutoring strengths are history and writing. However, I can also tutor math up to calculus, chemistry, and music theory.

If I sound like the right tutor for you, contact me at my cell - (805) 418-0694 or shoot me an email at Noah@ToStudentTutoring.com

 Sasha Kasper

Hi, my name is Sasha Kasper and I am a senior at Thousand Oaks High School. I love to challenge myself in academics and am currently enrolled in AP Statistics, AP Government & Economics, AP English, AP Chemistry and Japanese 3 CP with a 4.1 GPA. Throughout high school, I have taken AP Euro, AP U.S. History, Physiology H, Biology H, Chemistry H, and English AP and Honors. I am capable to teach any subject, but my specialties are English, Japanese, and Physiology (Anatomy). I started learning Japanese in eighth grade and have pursued my love for linguistics since then by taking Japanese 1 CP and 2 CP and private language lessons in the Valley for two years. I also enjoy English and write poetry, which I plan to publish a book of in December. I have earned various PTSA Reflection Awards in Writing Composition and Literature. I am on the tennis team, which I have been on for four years, and am Team Captain of both the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams this year. I have also started running for the Track and Field team and am in the dance program at school as well. I have been president of the Thousand Oaks High School Key Club for two years, a student based internationally known known volunteer organization. I am also vice president of Link Crew, Public Relations Officer for Health Science Majors, and am actively involved in the community by volunteering at Los Robles Hospital and Hospice of the Conejo. I am available every day after school (except for Tuesdays and Thursdays until 6 p.m.) and on the weekends (except from Sundays 12-4 P.M.). I look forward to meeting you and am up for any challenge a student will give me. I will try my best and can’t wait to help you succeed!

Alex Chen

(Currently Booked)

Hey, I’m Alex Chen, currently a junior at Thousand Oaks High School. I’m largely academic, but I also take pleasure in the violin and am also extensively active in such clubs as Students for Solar Schools, Junior Statesmen of America, and Knowledge Bowl. I’m a member of the Johns Hopkins University’s Search for Exceptional Talent and have attended JHU’s CTY summer program for several years, as well as a summer program at Harvard in 2010. This year I am also one of two news editors for the Lancer newspaper.

I’m a straight-A student and have been so for my academic career, to which this year has added 6 AP classes.

I have had experience privately tutoring personal friends as well as tutoring and counseling others through the Peer Academic Counseling program at Redwood Middle School. I attempt to impart broader concepts to students so as to further understanding rather than merely promote memorization. I am not, however, dry, and hope to engage with more force than a textbook. Hope to talk with you soon!
